Beyond the obvious causes like a few extra pounds or accidental shrinkage from a hot wash, your body naturally fluctuates in ways that can affect the fit. Here are the most common reasons:

Your cycle. In the days around your period, your body retains more fluid and your breasts can swell, which may make the bra feel snug. If it gets uncomfortable, simply take a break from wearing it until your period passes.

Hormonal changes during perimenopause. As estrogen and progesterone shift during perimenopause, your body composition and water retention can change, and your ribcage and bust size may change along with them. If this is you, your original band size may genuinely feel too tight, and it might be time to re-measure.

After a COVID vaccine or booster. A vaccine can temporarily cause the lymph nodes under your arms to swell, which can make wearing a posture bra uncomfortable. This happened to our founder! Just pause your wear until things settle back to normal.
